Short Description

Jacob started as a PhD student at the SODA Lab in October 2021. In his research, he focuses on understanding the various drivers of annotated data quality. Generally, he is interested in determining how social science learnings can benefit Machine Learning applications. In addition to that, he is involved in teaching Statistics and R, and was the program manager of the 2023 Data Science for Social Good Munich Summer School. He holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Sociology, obtained at the University of Mannheim with stays abroad at UC Davis, USA, and the University of Seoul, South Korea.
